Climbing accessories

We supply and install climbing wall holds, fixings, belays, belay ropes, carabiners, harnesses and hats.

Climbing wall hold
Climbing wall holds are supplied in different sizes and shapes. All feature a moulded resin hold with a highgrip surface and bolt hole (2 on larger holds to stop them turning). Holds feature an internal safety device which holds the unit together in the unlikely event of one cracking around the bolt fixing (if overtightened). This stops the 2 halves breaking off and falling and possibly injuring someone.

Climbing wall alphabet holds
Climbing wall holds shaped as the letters of the alphabet - make learning fun!

Climbing wall number holds
Climbing wall holds shaped as numbers - make learning fun!.

Climbing wall holds, set
Set of 48 climbing wall holds for club use in different sizes and shapes. All feature a moulded resin hold with a highgrip surface and bolt hole (2 on larger holds to stop them turning). Holds feature an internal safety device which holds the unit together in the unlikely event of one cracking around the bolt fixing (if overtightened). Double belay point, in line
Equal Y hang belay, stainless steel with chains ring and 12mm karabiner. This spreads the load to 2 fixings on the same row.

Double belay point, offset
Offset Y hang belay, stainless steel with chain, ring and karabiner. This spreads the load to 2 fixings on different rows for uneven walls so the fixings are on the same plane.

Single belay point
Single point fixed belay, stainless steel with ring.

Four point belay
4 point steel belay plate for spreading the load to 4 separate fixings. Ideal for use on 7kN block to achieve the required strength. This is the plate only which comes with 2 welded nuts for attaching the double belay CLI15 which must be ordered as well.

Belay ballast bag
Ballast bag to increase the weight of a belayer. The bag weighs up to 25kg when filled with sand or gravel and sits adjacent to the belayer and is attached via a lanyard to the belayer's harness. The bag excludes the ballast material and the lanyard.

Bolt for hold
Countersunk M10 bolt for fixing holds to the wall or panel. These are available in 35mm, 50mm or 70mm lengths depending on the type of wall and fixing used. The wall or panel must have the correct insert

Wall fixing
Special expansion anchor for fitting into brick or block walls for installing climbing wall holds, size 44/10mm. It is essential these are installed by a professional.

T bar allen key
6mm allen key with a T handle for tightening holds onto a wall. The T bar enables the hold to be tightened sufficiently for safe use but helps prevent overtightening which can lead to cracked holds and over expanded wall fixings

Climbing wall paint
High friction paint for painting brick or block walls to improve the look and feel for climbing and traversing walls. Available in 2.5 or 5ltr only in white, yellow, red, blue, green, light and dark grey. Paint includes aggregate so must be stirred well. Coverage approx 6-10m2 for a 5ltr tin.

Climbing wall mat
A specific PVC covered mat for climbing walls with a sandwich construction foam with 20mm polyethylene foam on either side of a polyurethane core. This provides a firmer base than standard crash mat foam and is more stable when landing on it (when you land feet first on a crash mat there is a risk of ankle "roll over" like landing on an uneven surface where you can easily sprain or break an ankle). There are also 50mm wide velcro tabs on all 4 sides so the mats can be joined to create a larger landing area (with the tabs on the top side so feet don't go in between the mats). We recommend the mats extend 2m from the climbing wall.

Mat is 2m long x 1m wide x 200mm deep.

Safety surfacing
Plug together 500mm square tiles which are ideal for setting out around the movable boulders. Edge tiles have 1 ramped edge and corner tiles have 2. Tiles are 50mm thick.

Climbing harness, Tetrax
Lightweight adjustable webbing harness for climbers and belayers with precise adjustment with double back buckles on the waist belt and leg loops. Suitable for children over 9 years to adults (sizes 1 and 2). (For 5-10 years the Simba or Oustiti full body harness is required).
Weight 0.425kg

Belay brake, Grigri
Auto braking device for belayers. If a fall happens the pivoting cam inside the device facilitates braking. The Grigri is attached to the belayers harness with the belay rope passing through the device. When locked this allows the belayer's full weight (plus ballast bag if attached) to be used to counterbalance the climber without all the load passing through the belayer's hands.

Climbing hat, Elios
Lightweight and robust helmet, injection moulded polycarbonate with expanded polypropylene foam inner for protection.Available in white, blue and orange with adjustable strap at the back to fit most head sizes.
Size 1 48-56cm, size 2 53-61cm
Weight 315-345g

Belay rope
Dinamic 10.5mm diameter low stretch climbing rope. Belay ropes must be used with the correct size carabiner through which they pass. We recommend a belay rope 2.5 to 3 times as long as the climbing wall height. Price per metre

Autobelay
Friction belay for use on climbing walls which removes the need for a belayer. The device is fitted to the belay point and the belay rope pulled out to attach to the climber. If the climber falls at any stage the autobelay lowers the climber at a controlled rate slowly back to the ground.

For crashmats, rubber tiles or safety surfacing please refer to the relevant section in product index or contact our sales team. We can also carry out annual testing and certification of climbing walls in accordance with DCIJS/156/99
